We thought we'd share a few key tips to help you through those dreaded interviews.
Be prepared - There is no better advice than this. Research the company before the interview. Find out as much as you can about their history, company values, any recent press articles, annual reports and know who the MD or CEO is. There is so much you can find out from the company's website or by searching for articles on Google.
Be punctual - Arrive on time, need I say more?
Look the part - Make sure you dress smart, plain and simple and go easy on the aftershave or perfume.
Questions to expect - There are a few basic interview questions that you should expect. Think about your answers before the interview. Also, make sure you have an example to share for each of the key competencies required on the job spec.

The Yahoo! Bid saga continues as shareholders decide to sue. There are seven reports of lawsuits filed against Yahoo! for attempting to avoid Microsoft's proposed £22.96bn takeover, claiming that the company did not have it's shareholders' best interests at heart.
Social Media
Have you seen the new LinkedIn homepage and status update option? Following in the steps of Facebook and MySpace, LinkedIn has given users the option to update their status on their public profile. With this new tool LinkIn aims to increase user activity on the site.
Employment legislation updates
From 29 February the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 replaced the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and employers will have more responsibility for checking and monitoring the legality of their workforce. Employers are required to check and copy documents specified by BIA, such as a passport, etc. Driving licences or NI cards on their own are not sufficient. Checks will need to be done once a year to check for expired documents.
